WUHAN, May 15 – Tongji Medical College of HUST formalized a significant educational initiative as the Hong’an Foundation of Agriculture-Supporting Public Welfare of Hubei Province (referred to as Hong'an Foundation for short) donated 500,000 RMB to establish a doctoral scholarship. The donation ceremony consisted of both donation and the scholarship-awarding ceremonies.

Mr. QIN Xuanbin, Vice Chairman of College Board, accepted the donation on behalf of Tongji Medical College of HUST and Mr. Ma Guobin, Deputy Director of University Alumni Affairs, presented a formal donation certificate to the Hong'an Foundation. At the event, Vice Chairman Mr. CHEN Qiusheng read the scholarship guidelines and congratulated the recipients.

Scholarship recipient Mr. LI Hao, a doctoral candidate from school of Medicine and Health Management, expressed profound gratitude in his speech. "We'll honor the Hong'an spirit by putting our expertise into the practice to serve the grassroots." he pledged, "making medical care accessible to rural areas across the nation." His commitment reflects the foundation's core mission to cultivate physicians who are professionally excellent and committed to serving grassroots people.

Mr. LIU Xingwang, Chairman of Hong'an Foundation emphasized their vision: "This scholarship empowers Tongji scholars to pioneer medical innovation while serving community health needs. We're proud to team up with you in the nurturing of professionals who push forward China's healthcare system." His remarks highlighted the program's dual focus on research excellence and social responsibility.

Mr. QIN highly spoke of the foundation's educational impact: "Our students will carry forward this heritage by addressing issues at research frontiers and safeguarding public health." He announced plans to deepen institutional collaboration through innovative training modes that translate research findings into tangible solutions to health issues.
