现任澳大利亚新南威尔士大学医学健康部健康科学院的高级讲师和研究员,澳大利亚注册执业营养师,博士生导师。并担任澳大利亚与新西兰肥胖学会(Australian New Zealand Obesity Society)青年学者委员会主席,以及Australasian Epidemiological Association理事会成员、澳洲营养师协会(Dietitians Australia Nutrition & Dietetics)期刊副主编。主要从事营养流行病学家、公共卫生营养学、膳食评估的研究和教学。主要研究方向为母婴儿童营养和健康、应用创新的统计方法和机器学习和大数据来探索饮食、运动、睡眠在肥胖和心血管疾病早期起源中的作用。其在营养科学、儿童肥胖、流行病学领域获得多项优秀青年学者奖项,并获得 >5 million澳元的研究经费,其中包括澳大利亚国家健康与医学研究委员会(NHMRC Early Career Fellowship, 2017–2023)以及澳大利亚研究委员会(ARC Discovery Early Career Researcher Award fellowship,2024至今)。本讲座将探讨产前与产后因素,以及早期饮食、运动、睡眠对儿童生长和肥胖的影响。
Dr. Zheng is an ARC DECRA Fellow and a Senior Lecturer in Nutrition, Dietetics and Food Innovation at the School of Health Sciences, Faculty of Medicine and Health, UNSW Sydney. She is an Accredited Practising Dietitian and a Nutritional Epidemiologist with research focuses on applying innovative statistical and machine learning approaches to understand the role of dietary and behavioural factors in the early origins of health and disease including obesity, cardiovascular disease, and emotional behavioural problems.
She has in-depth knowledge in dietary assessment and biostatistics and have extensive experience in analysing a wide range of data from National Health Surveys, longitudinal cohorts, and randomised controlled trials. She has published >80 scientific papers and have been awarded > $5 million research funding including an National Health Medical Research Council (NHMRC) Early Career Fellowship (2017-2023) and an Australian Research Council Discovery Early Career Researcher Award (DECRA) fellowship (2024-present). She is the Chair of Australian New Zealand Obesity Society (ANZOS) Early- and Mid-Career Researcher subcommittee and the Council member and Chapter/SIG coordinator of the Australasia Epidemiological Association (AEA). She is an Associate Editor for the Dietitians Australia Nutrition & Dietetics journal.
Her research achievement in public health nutrition, childhood obesity, and epidemiology is acknowledged by several national and international prestigious awards. Her research has been frequently profiled by The Obesity Society, United Nations Children's Fund UK, and public media. Her research findings have provided internationally acknowledged insights to inform dietary guidelines and health policy statements for obesity, metabolic syndrome and cardiovascular disease.
